Beet Yield

To assess crop productivity, biological yield, calculated based on the average root weight and plant density, and actual economic yield, determined by direct weighing, are used. Indicators vary depending on the crop type: the average yield of sugar beet is 30–60 t/ha, table beet is 40–50 t/ha, and fodder beet is 30–60 t/ha, with the potential to reach maximums of up to 170 t/ha.

Yield magnitude critically depends on agrotechnical factors, including optimal plant density and the availability of mineral nutrition, particularly boron. The economic efficiency of sugar beet production is determined not only by the root mass but also by their sugar content, which forms the final harvest of the target product per hectare.
