The yield of red currant is a key economic trait expressed in tonnes per hectare or kilograms per bush. Productivity assessment includes evaluating berry weight, raceme length, and the number of fruits per raceme, while considering the stability of fruiting over the years.

At the same time, a critically important indicator is yield stability, as cultivars with high but highly variable productivity over the years are less valuable for industrial cultivation.

The yield level is closely linked to planting density and the use of intensive bush formation technologies, including cultivation on trellises using the cordon system. Agrotechnics play an important role: ensuring sufficient lighting, regular irrigation, and pruning, which prevents the aging of branches and the shrinking of berries.
