When assessing the height of Diascia, the measurement is taken from the soil level to the highest point of the plant, taking into account the natural habit of the bush. Due to the species' tendency to form trailing and spreading shoots, in addition to bush height, the overall diameter and spread of the plant are often recorded. In breeding practice, compact forms with a height of 15–25 cm, medium-tall varieties (25–30 cm), and tall specimens reaching 40–60 cm are distinguished.

Plant height directly affects the cultivation method: low varieties are used for borders and containers, while tall forms are more often used as hanging basket plants. The stage of market readiness for Diascia seedlings is reached when they reach a height of 7–10 cm. The trait is dynamic and can be regulated agrotechnically, in particular, by pruning faded stems to a level of 5–7 cm to maintain decorative compactness.
