Non-flowering shoots ranging from 6 to 10 cm in length are used for Diascia cuttings. Due to potential stem porosity, it is recommended to prioritize shoots with a dense central structure, avoiding sections with a pronounced hollow.

Propagation is carried out primarily in late summer, although rooting is possible in the spring and early season. The material is planted in a light, well-drained substrate under cover to maintain high humidity. Unlike many trailing crops, Diascia is also successfully propagated via basal cuttings in autumn.
