Growing peppers in greenhouses requires specific temperature regimes, plant training, and nutrient management distinct from other trellised crops.

For peppers, the optimal temperature regime is approximately 16 °C for flowering and 21 °C for fruit development, with sudden temperature fluctuations leading to fruit set abortion. Due to the weak regenerative capacity of the root system, it is recommended to grow peppers without pricking out. A specific practice involves removing the 'crown' flower at the fork of the main stem to prevent slowing the plant's overall development.

In the pepper nutrition program, it is critical to maintain a potassium to calcium balance at a ratio of 1.5:1, as an excess of one blocks the uptake of the other. After the onset of flowering, nitrogen fertilization is restricted to avoid excessive vegetative growth. Due to the risk of cross-pollination, sweet and hot varieties should be grown in separate greenhouses, and high susceptibility to viral diseases requires strict sanitary measures during maintenance.
