For peppers, the optimal temperature regime is approximately 16 °C for flowering and 21 °C for fruit development, with sudden temperature fluctuations leading to fruit set abortion. A specific practice involves removing the 'crown' flower at the fork of the main stem to prevent slowing the plant's overall development.
