The variety is a representative of the short-day group. The bulbs have a spindle shape 10–12 cm long and a weight of 60 to 220 g. The scales are colored dark pink or burgundy-purple; the flesh is juicy, white-pink. The plant height is 40–55 cm; the leaves have a dark green hue and a waxy coating.
The vegetation period is 80–110 days. The variety shows resistance to drought and low temperatures. In cooking, it is valued for its sweet taste, convenience of slicing into rings, and ability to caramelize. The shelf life of the harvest is limited to 3–4 months; a seedling method of cultivation is recommended to obtain large bulbs.
