The shrub reaches a height of 1.5–2 meters, has an upright crown shape that becomes spreading with age. Leaves are dark green, oval, turning red-orange shades in autumn. Flowers are white, sometimes with a pinkish hue, gathered in corymbose inflorescences; flowering occurs in the second half of May.
Fruits are round, black in color with a grey waxy bloom, average diameter about 14.9 mm, weight 1.0–1.5 g. The variety matures in late August — September; fruits ripen simultaneously, which is convenient for mechanized harvesting. Berries are firm, withstand transport and storage well, and have a typical astringent taste.
The variety possesses high resistance to diseases, pests, and frosts down to -35...-40°C. The plant is self-fertile, does not require pollinators. Yield is 10–15 kg per shrub.
