The variety is a compact plant with a height of 40–60 cm and a crown width of 60–90 cm. The leaves have a glossy surface; they are dark green in summer and turn red-orange in autumn. In spring, the shrub blooms profusely with white flowers with red-purple anthers.
The plant produces edible black or dark purple-black fruits that ripen by the end of summer. The variety is hardy, adapts to a wide range of soil conditions from dry to moist, and tolerates sun and partial shade. Due to the dense form of the bush, it does not require special pruning and is not prone to lodging.
