The variety forms a dense low-growing shrub. Foliage is green and glossy in summer, acquiring intense red and orange shades in the autumn period. Flowering occurs in May–June with white inflorescences, followed by the formation of shiny black berries.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness and is adapted to various soil conditions, rarely being subject to damage by wildlife. The variety is used primarily in landscape design for creating group plantings and low borders.
