The variety belongs to the late-maturing group with a growing period from seedling transplanting to harvest of about 170–190 days. The plant forms large, dense, well-closed spherical heads weighing from 4 to 6 kg. With a denser planting scheme, the heads grow to a smaller size.
Outer leaves have a dark green color with a violet hue and are characterized by a medium waxy bloom. The variety is distinguished by a high sugar content and a crispy leaf structure, making it a traditional choice for fermentation and sauerkraut, as well as being suitable for fresh consumption.
