The plant belongs to the Portuguese cabbage group, forms a rosette of large light-green leaves with pronounced thick central veins. During the growth process, a small loose head is formed.
The variety is traditional, used in cooking for preparing soups and stewed dishes. It has a sweeter taste compared to the Penca Póvoa Verde variety.
