The plant forms compact cushions or mounds about 30–40 cm in height and width. The leaves are large, heart-shaped, with a distinct silvery pattern along the veins.

Flowering occurs in spring, in May–June. The flowers are small, white, and gathered in paniculate inflorescences on sturdy peduncles.

The variety prefers semi-shaded areas with moist, humus-rich, well-drained soils. The plant has high winter hardiness and does not require specific protection from diseases and pests.
