Variety description

The plant forms a compact mound up to 30 cm tall (up to 40 cm with flower stalks). The leaves are large, heart-shaped, silvery-green in color with dark green veins and a characteristic cream-yellow margin that lightens to cream-white in the summer. The stems have a reddish hue.

The flowers are small, sky-blue in color, gathered in airy panicle-like inflorescences. The flowering period falls in April-May. The variety is characterized by general resistance to diseases and pests; winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 3–7.
