The plant forms dense cushion-like clumps 33–41 cm wide. The heart-shaped leaves have a characteristic silvery center with green veins and margins; they are smaller in size compared to other varieties. In spring, the plant blooms with small bright blue flowers gathered in paniculate inflorescences, which may acquire a pinkish-lavender hue over time.

The variety has high frost resistance, is adapted to zones 4–9, and is resistant to late spring frosts and damage by deer or rabbits. It tolerates shade and heat well, with foliage retaining its decorative quality throughout the season with minimal browning of the edges. It is used in landscape design for creating borders, mass plantings, plantings under trees, and for growing in containers.
