Variety description

The plant belongs to the Boraginaceae family. It is distinguished by the unusual coloration of its foliage, which varies from yellow-green to golden-yellow, with a heart-shaped leaf blade.

During the spring period, from April to May, it forms inflorescences with small, bright blue flowers. The plant forms compact clumps 20 to 40 cm in height and about 30–40 cm in width.

The variety is adapted to USDA hardiness zones 4a–9b. It prefers semi-shaded or shaded areas and moderately moist, well-drained, humus-rich soils. It is used in landscape design for landscaping shady gardens, creating borders, or growing in containers.
