Variety description

The variety is an evergreen compact shrub with a broadly upright, paniculate crown 20–30 cm tall, rarely up to 45 cm. The foliage is dark green, scale-like, and needle-shaped.
The plant belongs to the group of bud-flowering heathers: the buds never fully open, which allows them to retain their decorative appearance for longer. The color of the buds varies from pink-mauve to bright violet. Flowering is late, lasting from late August to October-November.
The variety has good winter hardiness (USDA zone 5A). It is used in landscape design for planting in rock gardens, heather gardens, mixed borders, and containers.
