The Calluna vulgaris variety San Diego, also known under the trade name Skyline San Diego, is a plant with strong, upward-directed shoots. Its distinctive morphological feature is the yellow-orange color of the foliage.

The plant is intended for decorative landscape design and container cultivation. The variety enters commercial circulation from August, starting from week 32 of the year.
