The variety is a local Croatian population of the species Capsicum annuum, officially registered as a conservation variety. The plant produces elongated fruits with a characteristic upright position, with a length of 10–12 cm and a diameter varying from 1 to 1.5 cm with an average weight of 4–4.5 g.
During the ripening process, the color of the fruits changes from dark green at technical maturity to dark red at biological maturity. The variety is characterized by a pronounced hot taste and a mid-early ripening period.
