The fruits of this variety have an ovoid shape, being flat on one side and convex on the other. The shell is thin, brown in color with dark longitudinal stripes. Unlike common chestnuts, the bur typically contains one or two large fruits, and the light nut-colored pellicle is easily separated from the kernel.
The variety is valued for its sweet taste and compact, mealy texture. The fruits are resistant to thermal processing and maintain their shape well when roasted, baked, or boiled. The variety is a traditional local population adapted to the climatic conditions of the Veneto region.
