The variety is a product of folk selection, widespread in the Galicia region. Fruits ripen in the period from late October to early November. Morphologically, the variety is characterized by the presence of mesostaminate male inflorescences.

The fruits of the variety have a medium size and good kernel quality. The produce is used in the confectionery industry for the production of marmalade and puree. Trees of this variety are also used in plantings as pollinators.
