Rapada Z is a cultivated clone selected within the framework of a program to study Galician varietal diversity. The variety is used both for producing edible fruits and as a pollinator in new forest plantations.
The fruits of the variety are characterized by an easily detachable peel, which makes them convenient for culinary processing, including boiling. The variety is classified as mesostaminate based on its male inflorescence type.
