Variety description

The plant reaches a height of about 2–4 meters with a width of up to 3 meters. The leaves have a broadly ovate or cordate shape with a crinkled surface. Flowering occurs in early spring before the leaves emerge; the flowers are papilionaceous, of a pinkish-purple or lavender-pink hue.
The variety possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and root rot. Used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant or for container cultivation. Tolerates transplanting poorly at a mature age; prefers sunny sites with well-drained soils.
