A miniature multi-stemmed tree or large shrub 4 to 8 meters in height, reaching 6 meters by 10 years of age. The variety has heart-shaped leaves of a purple-red shade, the color of which is more intense than in the Forest Pansy variety.
Flowering occurs in spring, in April–May, before the leaves emerge. Small pink flowers are arranged in clusters directly on the trunk and bare branches. The plant prefers sunny areas or partial shade and well-drained soils.
The variety is characterized by a rapid growth rate and adaptation to urban conditions, including air pollution. It is suitable for use as a specimen plant, container growing, or as part of landscape compositions in small gardens.
