The tree features arching branches that create a cascading effect. The plant height is typically 3–4.5 meters, sometimes reaching 6 meters. The plant is often offered in a standard form.
The leaves are heart-shaped, having a yellow-green hue upon unfolding, transitioning to light green, and turning golden-yellow in the autumn. Flowering is profuse, occurring in April–May before the emergence of leaves; the flowers are snow-white and densely cover the bare shoots.
The variety is intended for ornamental use as a specimen plant, accent plant, or for cultivation in containers. The plant possesses USDA hardiness zones 5–9, is drought tolerant after establishment, and is considered low-maintenance.
