The variety belongs to the radicchio group and reaches maturity approximately 90 days after sowing. The plant forms dense, vertically elongated heads with deep wine-red leaf color and contrasting wide white central veins.

The plant is characterized as a vigorous and uniform variety. The highest quality yield is achieved when sown in June-July. The variety has a mild flavor with slight bitterness, while most of the sweetness is concentrated in the central vein.

The produce is suitable for raw consumption in salads, as well as for culinary processing, including stewing, baking, or grilling.
