The variety «Rikita» is a hybrid variety of chicory (witloof) intended for the production of etiolated heads. Genetically, this variety demonstrates a high degree of similarity to the variety «Victoria».

In official UPOV documents, the variety «Rikita» is classified as a specimen with a concave leaf shape in cross-section and is used to describe the morphological characteristics of the species for the purposes of breeding control.
