Variety description

The variety is a result of American USDA breeding and does not belong to the Citrus deliciosa group. It is a hybrid of Clementine and Murcott mandarin. Depending on the collection and region, it may be encountered under the names SRA 337, US Furr, US Furr-ST, Diamantina, Murcotão, Olé, and Piemonte.

Fruits are large, ripening in December-January. They are characterized by a high seed content, on average about 22 seeds per fruit. The pulp is prone to granulation (up to 20%), and the taste is rated as average due to low sweetness combined with a low acidity level. Forms exist, such as US Furr-ST, that possess resistance to scab.
