The Florida 914 variety, also known as UF 914, is a grapefruit hybrid. The main feature of the fruits is a low level of compounds causing the "grapefruit juice effect," which makes the variety safe for consumption by people taking prescription medications, in particular statins.

According to its external characteristics and pulp properties, the variety is classified as a red grapefruit. The fruits are distinguished by high taste qualities and the ability to reach maturity earlier than the Star Ruby variety. The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work at the University of Florida.
