The variety is a representative of the pink grapefruit group. The vigorous tree reaches a height of 4.5 to 6 meters, can grow up to 13.7 meters at maturity, and features an extensive canopy and spreading branches.
The fruits are round in shape; the rind is characterized by its thinness and the presence of a reddish-bronze blush. The flesh is red and possesses the sweet-and-sour taste with bitterness characteristic of grapefruit. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and fresh consumption.
The plant is susceptible to standard citrus viral diseases, such as citrus tristeza virus. Cross-protection methods may be used to combat pathogens.
