The variety is a triploid hybrid obtained by crossing the low-acid Siamese Sweet pomelo and the autotetraploid Ruby Red grapefruit. Fruits are large, weighing about 680 g, externally resemble grapefruit, have red flesh and a peel with a pinkish hue, which is slightly thicker than that of a common grapefruit.
The variety is characterized by high sugar content, reduced acidity, and weak bitterness. It is seedless, and the harvest ripens in the period from October to April. The plant exhibits tolerance to citrus greening and is being studied for resistance to stress factors, including drought and low temperatures.
