The variety is a local autochthonous cultivar, also known as «Biondo di Spina». The plant can be formed as a bush or a semi-standard tree and has characteristic prominent thorns on the branches.
The fruits are oval-subround in shape and weigh from 120 to 200 grams. They have light orange juicy flesh and thin yellow-orange peel. Seeds are often found inside the fruits, and some specimens may exhibit a "navel" trait.
The variety is late-maturing: ripening begins from the second ten-day period of March and continues until the end of May. The crop is characterized by high yield and is intended primarily for fresh consumption or juice production.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
