The Comuna variety (also known as Blanca Comuna) is one of the oldest representatives of the white sweet orange group. It possesses high growth vigor, and its trees are distinguished by their productivity. It is believed that this variety served as a genetic base for the emergence of other varieties, such as Salustiana and Cadenera.

The fruits of this variety are medium to large in size, do not have the navel protrusion characteristic of the Navel group, and are distinguished by high juiciness. The variety is mid-season; in the conditions of Spain, the fruits ripen by December. The plant is characterized as hardy, however, its relevance in industrial production is declining due to the presence of seeds in the fruits.
