The variety was obtained through the selection of trees exhibiting natural resistance to mal secco, caused by the fungus Phoma tracheiphila. In the course of the conducted studies, the variety showed no symptoms of infection even under artificial inoculation.
The fruits of the variety possess market characteristics that meet commercial requirements. At the same time, the plant's yield is slightly inferior to that of the original Maglini variety, decreasing by approximately 10–20 percent.
