The variety has leaves resembling those of an orange tree and fruits of a classic lemon shape. A distinctive morphological feature is the orange color of the fruit pulp. In a number of specialized nursery catalogs, the variety is designated by the code SRA 476.

The plant is primarily grown as an ornamental and fruit-bearing crop in container conditions. The variety name in Turkish indicates thornlessness. Care for the variety is similar to the care for ordinary lemons.
