«Galego» is an acid lime that is widely used in cooking for the preparation of juices, beverages, and marinades. The plant under this name is absent from official registers of Citrus limon lemon varieties as a distinct variety.

The fruits of this lime are characterized by a small size, thin rind of a light green or yellowish-green shade, high juice content, and the presence of seeds. The plant is an evergreen tree or shrub that is demanding regarding thermal conditions.
