The Fino variety tree reaches medium to large size, is characterized by vigorous growth and the presence of strong thorns. Its fruits have an oval or rounded shape and possess a thin but firm rind.

The variety is characterized by high juice content, which accounts for up to 50% of the fruit weight, and an increased citric acid content. The main harvest period falls in October–December, which leads to a shorter ripening cycle compared to the Verna variety.
