The tree is distinguished by vigorous growth; young shoots have a purple tint. A distinctive feature of the variety is the leaves, which are prone to curling in the shape of a hood, which gave the variety its name. The buds are purple, and the opened flowers are white with a purple tint and have a star shape.

The fruits are oval, turning pale yellow when ripe. The peel is smooth and fairly thick, containing many essential oils. The pulp is yellow-green, juicy, characterized by a low sugar content and a high level of citric acid.

The variety is late-maturing. The main flowering occurs in spring, but with proper care, adult plants can bear fruit year-round. The yield level is medium. The plant shows good resistance to winds and the effects of light frosts.
