The variety originates from the province of Acireale in Italy and is a bud mutation of the Femminello variety. The name translates as “white flower,” which indicates the absence of a purple hue in the buds. The tree is tall, highly branched, practically thornless, with elliptical leaves and characteristic light green young shoots.

The plant is capable of almost continuous fruiting with the main fruit ripening period in October–December. Medium-sized fruits weighing 130–160 g have a smooth yellow rind of medium thickness and juicy acidic pulp with a small number of seeds. The variety has a certain resistance to the fungal disease mal secco, and is characterized by good keeping quality and transportability.
