The variety is a perennial evergreen plant cultivated primarily in the Favazzina area. It is suitable for production, including the summer harvest of verdello-type fruits, which are characterized by an elongated shape.

In scientific literature, the variety is classified as susceptible to the tracheomycosis disease mal secco, caused by the fungus Phoma tracheiphila. The disease manifests as leaf chlorosis, wilting, and the dieback of plant branches. The variety is also actively studied in terms of the composition of essential oils contained in its leaves and fruit peels.
