The variety originated as a seedling of a local lemon in the Murcia region and includes a number of clones, such as Fino 49, Fino 95, and Fino Elche. The trees reach medium to large sizes, and their crown is characterized by the presence of vigorous thorny shoots.

The fruits have a round or slightly oval shape, a thin smooth rind, and a high juice content. In Spanish conditions, the harvest is collected from October to May. The variety is sensitive to low temperatures and frosts, while demonstrating stable fruit production.

The fruits are used for fresh consumption, culinary purposes, and industrial processing for juice and essential oils.
