Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree of this variety grows vigorously and reaches sizes of 4.5–7.5 m; a characteristic feature is the cup-shaped leaves. The variety is early-maturing, with the commercial harvest season falling in November–January. Orlando is considered one of the most cold-hardy tangelo varieties.

Fruits are medium to large in size, almost round or slightly flattened, without a neck. The peel is orange, thin and textured, and clings tightly to the flesh. The flesh is orange, very juicy and sweet. The number of seeds depends on the presence of pollinators and can reach 35 pieces with cross-pollination.

The plant is self-incompatible; for yield, cross-pollination with such varieties as Temple, Robinson or Sunburst is required. The fruits are used for fresh consumption, making juices and desserts.
