The variety is a hybrid of Washington navel sweet orange and Poncirus trifoliata. The plant exhibits vigorous growth with a dense or compact crown, and trees grafted onto it are characterized by early fruit bearing. The hybrid's fruits have a sour taste with a bitter aftertaste and are not used for fresh consumption.
This rootstock shows intermediate resistance to Phytophthora and tolerance to Citrus tristeza virus and nematodes. It is incompatible with certain types of lemons, for example, the Eureka variety, which leads to scion rejection. The variety is practically identical to the Troyer citrange rootstock.
