The variety is a Satsuma hybrid obtained as a result of selecting zygotic Miho Wase seedlings. The fruits are distinguished by improved flavor, high rind density, and a lack of tendency for the rind to separate from the flesh.

The plant belongs to the category of low-seed mandarins. During trials on Carrizo citrange, Troyer citrange, and C35 rootstocks, no incompatibility problems were observed.
