Variety description

The variety was obtained by crossing the orange variety Tarocco and the clementine variety Monreal. The plant is characterized by compact growth and a dense crown; thorns are sometimes found on the shoots. The variety is adapted to a climate with warm days and cool nights, which are necessary for the accumulation of sugars and intense fruit coloration; it is capable of withstanding short-term temperature drops down to -6°C.

The fruits have an average weight of 150–180 g and an oblate shape. The bright orange peel is easily separated from the pulp. The juicy, firm pulp contains anthocyanin pigmentation, giving it a color ranging from light orange to reddish. The taste is sweet with a characteristic tart aftertaste; seeds are absent.
