Variety description

The variety is a complex hybrid obtained by crossing the Temple tangor and a tetraploid Dancy mandarin with an Encore mandarin. The tree is medium to large, vigorous, with a spherical canopy and thorns 0.6 to 2.7 cm long.

The fruit is large, weighing about 135 g, oblate in shape, with a possible slight neck. The rind is deep orange, medium thick, and peels relatively easily at maturity. The flesh has a tender texture, with a juice content of about 48%.

The variety is mid-season; harvest in California takes place from January to March. It shows high yield, although alternate bearing is possible. It can be grown on various rootstocks, such as Carrizo, C35, and Poncirus trifoliata.
