Variety description

The variety is a triploid sexual hybrid, presumably obtained from a cross between 'Nules' clementine and 'Tarocco' blood orange. The plant is of medium size with a dense vertical canopy. Trees on 'bitter orange' rootstock at four years of age reach a height of 2.4 to 3 meters.

The variety is late-maturing, with the harvest period occurring in January-February. Trees begin fruiting in the third year and are characterized by stable yields and a low tendency toward alternate bearing. The plants are characterized by resistance to viruses and viroids, including tristeza and psorosis.

Fruits are medium-sized, round-flattened, with smooth skin. A distinctive feature is the reddish pigmentation of the flesh. The juice content is 40–50%, and the fruits possess good keeping quality and are suitable for transport.
