The variety was obtained by crossing Clematis 'Madame Julia Correvon' and 'Niobe'. The plant reaches a height of about 2 meters and requires hard pruning to a height of 5–15 cm from the ground in autumn.

Flowers with a diameter of about 10 cm bloom in the period from July to September. The variety is winter-hardy, well-adapted to various soil types provided there is drainage, and prefers sunny locations or partial shade.

The plant is intended for vertical landscaping of walls, fences, pergolas, and arches, and is also suitable for growing in containers and as part of mixed plantings.
