The official registration name of the variety is «Poulvo», while in the international register the name «Vino» is considered the priority. The plant is a vine with a strong but compact growth habit, reaching a height of about 3 meters.

The flowers are large, 10 to 18 cm in diameter, and have a rich wine-red or petunia-red color with contrasting creamy-yellow stamens. Flowering is abundant and occurs in two waves: in May–June and August–September.

The variety is winter-hardy and is suitable for cultivation in small gardens, containers, and for use as cut flowers. The plant prefers sunny or partially shaded areas with moist, well-drained soil of neutral or alkaline reaction.
