The plant is a vigorously growing shrub 3–5 meters in height with a harmonious, slightly spreading crown. It can be trained as a tree when using Corylus colurna rootstock. The variety is characterized by mid-late flowering, which reduces the risk of damage by spring frosts, and requires cross-pollination with varieties such as Barcelona, Cosford or Tonda di Giffoni.

Harvesting occurs from the second half of September to October. The fruits are very large, weighing 3.5–4.5 g, with a thin, light-brown, glossy shell. The kernel is firm, with an intense aroma, peels well after roasting, and is suitable for long-term storage.

The variety possesses high frost resistance of the wood and resistance to bacteriosis. Compared to the Fertile de Coutard variety, of which it is a clone, it is distinguished by a significantly higher resistance to bud mite infestation.
